Update..

Oath Taking Schedule: October 26, 2023
(updated this morning)- Oct.18,2023

I haven't received the instruction letter for the e-certificate nor the invitation letter. Maybe later.
Congratulations! Montreal office is working really fast these days. I'm glad that my application is with them, seeing a lot of progress so far :)

Hello everyone!

Updates from today:
Citizenship is passed on October 25th, and I submitted my fingerprints today: October 27th

BG and LPP all in progress now.

Does anyone have an estimate on how long does RCMP and IRCC take in getting my fingerprints?

Thanks!

This is the exact update time. I don't think it was scheduled. assuming they scheduled the update to some proper time like 12pm and not 12:24. assuming it won't take 24 minutes to update all cases, I think it wasn't scheduled.
the only thing update I know in terms of timezone is the end of DST on nov 5.

We did not do it with third party but I called in last thursday in RCMP where we had our finger prints taken and they said it will take up to three weeks in terms of processing.
thats good to know. If not third party, where did you go for finger print , is it any local police station/department near your area ? are they allowing for appointments directly. I heard they generally redirect to the third party. But not sure I might be wrong.

Any idea when IRCC ask for fingerprints if needed ? Actually I was planning to travel to my back home for a long period and fingerprints can be done in Canada only I believe.

We call rcmp in our area and book with them. They will usually ask for what reason just mention you got a request for citizenship and you can ask how much it costs.
They will process it from rcmp the finger prints and picture taken and they will send it to ottawa and then ottawa sends to the address mentioned on the email sent by ircc for finger print request,
which will take 2-3 weeks roughly.

I am reading lots of ghost update happening, so when we say ghost update - does that mean you are getting any email to registered email id and when you check the tracker, there is no update
or
is it the Tracker showing - Updated:October 27, 2023 , but there is no update as such in the tracker itself.

Hi Everyone, Thanks for your support as always,

We have submitted our immigration file as a family, In the tracker it shows I have passed background checks and have been invited to the exam, but not my wife, is this normal? Also should we be expecting an mail or email invitation for the exam? I did not receive any thank you
