Mine started on Aug 23, but nothing further yet! Waiting even though it's long gone past the event date for which I applied.

Nope. It says background started in my old interface.

Applied for my fiancées visitor visa through the new portal on Aug 17, 2022.
Application received - Aug 17, 2022.
Biometrics received - Aug 25, 2022.

So far no update after that.

Hi there, i have a doubdt. When you said that you applied on the new portal what you mean?. Because i applied as well for a visitor visa on the official IRCC web site
"https://www.canada.ca/en/services/immigration-citizenship.html" and the IRCC portal has not changed...
