August 2022 Citizenship Applications

We just traveled back to Canada with citizenship certificate via land border and it was easy. Officer at first was asking for original certificate but once we explained that we received an e-certificate of citizenship so we don't have a physical original at all then they were fine. (We did have a printout)

December 22nd 2022: Background Verification Completed
March 20th 2023: citizenship test completed
June 7th 2023: Physical Presence, Prohibitions, Language Skills Complered
June 27th 2023: Citizenship Oath Ceremony Completed

Took my oath yesterday June 28, 2023, and got e-citizenship certiifcate today, June 29, 2023.

No real update, But wanted to send my ATIP / GCMS notes I request from IRCC in Aug I got them today.

Here are the difference I saw from my GCMS from CBSA in Nov

1. The primary office changed from Sydyn to Scarbrough
2. The paper file section updated from (CPC - Sydney E-grant inventory) to (Scarbrough test ready)
3. Criminality - Passes
4. Clearance request - changed to Yes and now has (RCMP / CSIS)
5. There is a security activity section (no info on that page, just who it's assigned to from RCMP) it was assigned to RCMP in Sep they updated it in Dec (which is when my BG completed)

That's all nothing else, I guess I am happy it's now with my local office I hope Scabrought moves fast.

So it took from Sep to Dec to get security clearance about 4 months is it beginning of sep to end of Dec , and was the date in sep the date they requested FP or the date they received FP result from RCMP and clear your criminality

Yes, it's normal. It depends on the processing office on when or how soon they will schedule you for oath... For Vancouver it is usually in 1-2 months. You can check the spread sheets (link in signature)

Same here, everything turned green on 20th but nothing after that.

Last update was on June 9 - everything complete except Oath was not started. It still says not started. Anyone got idea how long does it take? My application is online, and processing office is Niagara.

Did you try emailing the oath scheduling email address for your processing office?
