Hi,

Citizenship update for my in laws:

I checked the tracker updated recently. It says following:

Take the Oath of Citizenship
Citizenship ceremony
New update
Waiting on you
You've been scheduled to attend your citizenship ceremony on December 29, 2021.
Follow the instructions we sent to you for information on:

• how to attend the ceremony
• what documents you have to present

The notice you’ll receive is the official confirmation of the appointment. If you haven’t received the notice by the date of the scheduled appointment, contact us.

I didnt received any email for it. Are they going to send this invitation in a regular mail?

If you provided an Email along with your application, they will send you an email for the Oath few days prior to the ceremony.

yes, they have my email, I haven't received it so far I thought they would have already sent it when they updated the status.

I like practicing with mobile apps. There are many decent apps available, here is one I can recommend - Canadian Citizenship Test.

Electoral Ridings answer is incorrect. And so is the Q on the responsibilities of the Responsible govt - should have been responsibilities of Federal Govt.

Hi, I just passed the test with 16/20. I am happy that I passed Respect to those who got high marks LOL

BTW, just realized that there is a typo on the google spreadsheet. I am applying as single not family (3). If it does not matter then leave it. I am fine with anything. Cheers

16/20 and 20/20 make no difference, may be serve the ego in a different way.

Hey Guys another update! I gave test on Friday Morning and today is Monday Morning Everything is Completed and just waiting for Oath, Wow i am amazed to see the transition speed. Hope everything works out for everyone quickly FYI- UP

Congrats, your application was Urgent Processing so it is surprisingly good speed for that.

Calgary office is finally awake. Got my citizenship test request on the dashboard. Didn't receive the email yet.

Just received my renewed PR card today . It took exactly 3.5 months post to post for me. And my timeframe is slightly on the faster side as compared to other applicants. Hopefully this info helps in case somebody is indecisive about renewing versus waiting for Passport.

On a lighter note, I wonder if I should prepare myself to renew my card for the 3rd time?

I gave my Test on Nov 12 and passed (19/20) - it was pretty easy and I wrapped it up in under 5 minutes. However, I was way too stressed about the blurred photo - I took almost 40 minutes to take numerous retakes on getting the ID (PR Card) clearer - but finally I just gave up and had to stay content with a blurred photo where my name was barely readable (but could be made out). I have one of the newer models, but I guess laptop webcams have their limitations!

Good news is my Test status got updated to COMPLETED today. Please update the tracker. Thanks!

Almost five months since DM and am still waiting for the now unreachable Oath Invite!!
Am about to make my renewal application too, but god is it a long process and I don’t real feel like starting a different application at all!! Am so fed up with the citizenship application.
So surprised to read the time it took for you!!! Thought it would take a max of three months and probably less than that for most of the cases??? These applications are a real nightmare!!!
Anyways, just a question- Can you leave Canada with only your passport from your nationality if your PR card has expired?? Or you need your PR not just to enter but leave Canada as well when you’re travelling internationally?

I think I’ve told you we’re going to probably get Oath invite at same time even though I took the test several months ago
We’re both in the same boat now - waiting to get Oath invite. Hope it’s going to be this year even though I feel so frustrated about all this!
