I submitted my citizenship application in August 2020 and received AOR in January 2021 but since then there has been no progress and the webpage says the application is in progress. I see many folks have updates on their applications. Is there anything I can do to speedup the process?

Hi all, I've been scheduled for oath on Oct 7th Scarborough office a couple of days ago. While I haven't received an invitation email yet I can see it in my account. So my questions are for those who have done the oath. Was it in person? Were you allowed to bring a guest with you? And also how long does it take to receive an email? I can't wait to see the instructions

Application sent and AOR received Dec 15 2020 and waiting for the status update?

My status is showing "In Progress".
Here is the timeline -

1. App Sent: September 01, 2020
2. App Delivered: December 15, 2020
3. AOR Received: December 15, 2020
4. BG Verification completed: March 15, 2021.
5. Language skills : In progress
6. Physical presence: In progress
7. Prohibitions : In progress

Is there any way to contact them and ask for status?

You are supposed to send it with in a month,
You sent the paper copies on 12th August, certainly you got the email before that, so the 30 day window has closed.
However you sent it on time, and they must’ve received it too, so there isn’t much to worry about.
But if it gives you any kind of peace of mind, then sure go ahead. Make sure the copies are scanned, and use the jpg to pdf converter to send the pdf version of the file.

I sent the passport pages on August 12 by mail.

Hey Pradeep! what is your Visa Office? or where do you live?

So i had ordered my GCMS notes and what i figured out was the paper based applications are sent to NS VO and Comes back to local VO and it could happen multiple times for verification purposes and hence it causes the entire delay. Also, the SLA states its due in 1 Year, so i guess it resets and they have to redo the checks. :-| I also got the response from Kitchener VO that its in Queue for Test.

It has been a month since I sent an urgent processing request. My request was forwarded to an IRCC supervisor on Sept 10 and no word since then. Has anyone had a similar experience? Not sure how long it would take to respond to my urgent processing request. Thanks!

They take as long as they take.

In my case I sent a request in mid-April and got a word from IRCC after a month that they will forward it to the processing office. In July I was invited to take the test. Until now I have no idea if my file has been granted urgency or not.
