Not yet. Just saying that the person who got invited shares the same timeline as me. I guess Ottawa Centre is faster than Scarborough given GTA is generally high volume.
Applied june 8,2020, Aor November 12 2020 and in process December 17 2020. Single applicants
Called Ircc and the agent checked the status But didnt gave any specific detail. Said it looks good and the application Status is Open.
Did anyone got same reply?

Lmao “my photo”. IRCC has the worst customer service, they should just provide more details when we call
Haha. He didnt give me any specific whether the background check is done or not. He said the Status is Open I am like when you planning to close it haha
Exactly. They should atleast tell us whether background check is done or criminality is passed or something. Just Looks good and status is open is not enough.

Just read about a test invite form one of the members. I have also got a very close timeline to that. So does this mean that things are moving on and we will see our test invites soon? Let's hope so 'cause it's about time. Btw, I need to ask the following:
- Are you guys already preparing/studying for the test?
- How long after we get the test invite are we supposed to take the test?
- Do you think the process steps will move more quickly after the test is taken?
- What's the average timing left for all this to be over? ( hope I won't have to apply for my PR card which expires next January!)

Hi Everyone. Today CIC sent me a letter via email and asked me to book a fingerprint appointment within 30 days. Does this letter mean that I forgot to include my fingerprint in my original citizenship application in August 2020 or is this a good sign that my citizenship application processing is getting faster? I would greatly appreciate your answer! Thank you.
Fingerprint is not requirement when you submit an application, however they may require your fingerprint it means. they need to check your background on RCMP record. so, its a step to your background check, good sign meaning your file is progressing.......

Fingerprinting is part of the first level background check (RCMP, national level), simultaneously criminality checks are completed (By CSIS via national & international database) . Only after these two checks are done your application gets transferred to your local office where the rest of the process is completed.
This could actually cause a slight delay in your application processing since FP request means your file is considered Non-Routine. Wish you the best.
