Hi Guys

My AOR is 26th august,2020. everything is under reviewing. eligibility to security to background check. two weeks ago IRCC asked for passport valid for 6 months. so I renewed my passport and sent it to them. but there is no single update.

is that normal? as I can see for other people at least eligibility is passed or background check is done. I am scared a bit.

Many applicants are still waiting to pass stages.

Did anyone got a GU even after all stages passed? I mean, for me it's been more than one week since everything passed ( from agent on previous calls ) and got a GU today. It is been little confusing to get a GU at this stage ( medicals were retaken since it was expired and it was also updated in the profile with 1 year validity before one week- so not for medicals I assume )

GUs can happen at any time right up until you get a Final Decision

But a GU after all stages passed, what could be the potential reason which could trigger a GU ?

@legalfalcon hi,my dependent and spouse are in india is that the reason after passing all stages my file is still on hold due to travel restrictions?

This is one of the many reasons apart from the fact that IRCC in general is facing ramant delays. Also due to travel restrictions, most applications that have outland dependents are being put on hold.

IRCC will not acknowledge this, but if you see the pattern this is what emerges. This is because as soon as you are issued a COPR, you will be a PR and your family will be exempt from travel restrictions as immediate family of a PR.

Thanks for the reply,so I have to wait for travel restrictions to be uplifted.
