It's the 54th day since my submission. Today I see others who submitted their application under CEC on the same date as me (Aug 27) have their medicals passed. Mine-- they have sent a request for additional family information. There was no spot for it in the first place. Why not just ask for it during submission. Medicals still not passed. No progress. :\

Today I went to my nearest Commisionaires office and did my criminal record check based on fingerprint. They will submit these info RCMP and it takes 5 to 10 business days to get the result in my mailbox.

Did you get Canada PCC (RCMP) request at the same time on the day when your medical & biometric passed ?
OOh. that sounds complicated. I didn't have to do any fingerprints. All online. $19. two days.
A certified criminal record check (RCMP PCC) requires fingerprints. What you got was a regular criminal record check which only requires name and date of birth. And costs $20 usually.
If IRCC request an RCMP PCC, then you NEED to give fingerprints.
Received an update today : we don't need to give biometrics and the $170 fees for biometric will be refunded.
