IRCC to partially refund International Experience Canada participants who experience processing delays. This should encourage visa officers to prioritize this category, where processing delays have the greatest negative impact of all immigration programs.

This is only for new application, which is scary for existing applications

I hope they start working faster after reading this because they will have to clear the backlog,in order to not pay the applicants on or after 1st April

Doesn’t seem to apply to PR applications. Just citizenship, passport and international experience Canada.

I’m kinda glad it doesn’t seem to apply to PR as it would give them even more incentive to work on recently received applications and give zero incentive to clear the backlog.

Agreed, it doesn't apply to PR applications.
Besides, even if it did, this particular clause would absolve them of most cases:
"Should it be determined that the service standard in relation to a fee paid is not met primarily due to exceptional circumstances, the fee payer is not eligible for a remission."

Yep - this seems to just be a “show” step. Had it been in place pre-covid...their exemptions would have covered all of the delays.

Does anyone know how to download the COPR. I see it under "Document Status" with the expiry date/updated date/Status etc., but I am unable to click or do anything in it. Any help?
Were you able to open or download COPR after using a different browser? Facing the same. Thanks.
