Can anyone please share how long IRCC takes to extend the medicals (if they decide to extend) after the expiration date? My meds expired on August 6th, 2021 but I have not seen any movement since then. It still says "you do not need a medical exam".

@legalfalcon, any guidance on this query? Thank you :)

If your meds are expired and you fall under the extension policy, chances are that your meds will be extended.

Hello, I have a question for @legalfalcon

I am currently an international student graduating in fall 2022 approximately and my wife holds an open-work permit which is expiring in November this year. She is currently employed.
Which way would you recommend us to extend her permit given the fact that we are FSW-Inland, have passed Eligibility as per GCMS notes and are only waiting for the security checks to be completed?

Thank you for your advice.

If your spouse has an OWP based on your student status, then it cannot have. validity beyond that of your permit. If your spouse's WP is expiring then you can renew it as long as you have a valid study permit or a PGWP.

@legalfalcon sir, if the medicals are extended, is there a reflection in the account under "review of medical"? It has been more than 1 yr since my medical exam but it still shows medical passed on Aug XX,2020. Also, can you pls share what would be quickest turnaround time for GCMS notes currently (from IRCC or from CBSA). Thanks in advance!

Any CEC Inland applicants still waiting? My application (AOR Sept 05) is still in process, only Eligibility recommended passed and the rest processing.
Contacted my MP several times, no movement at all. I'm literally loosing it.

wow. have you requested GCMS notes or anything? Do you know where the hold up is on your file?
There is nothing to be wow. Yes I ordered GCMS notes thrice and it doesn’t say you why the file is on hold and as per my latest notes it is assigned to Ottawa processing center instead of an officer. So my file basically moves when it is assigned to an officer. Reason for delay is COVID affected timelines.
