Yes, it took 3 hours after biometrics.
Hi, I did my biometrics a couple of weeks ago. My biometrics number, date of enrolment and expiry, were updated on my profile on the same day. However, under the biometrics field, it still says, 'We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details.'

Was it the same for you?

It was the same for me for a couple of days. The the biometrics field got updated to Completed and my background check message changed to "Your application is in progress...". Am not sure if the two are related. What does your BG message say?

Oh I am not sure why mine still says that they've not received the fingerprints then. Maybe I should call IRCC and ask.

My background check message says, "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

Yes, maybe call and ask if you can. Let us know what they say, it will be useful.

Hey @legalfalcon

Just got my GCMS today, Application Assignment looks like this:
Assigned to: RC-9515
Assigned by: GL00248
Due date: 2020/11/23

I'm assuming RC-9515 is a case officer as GL00248 was the case processing agent in the notes section. As GL00248 is based in the CIO and my primary office is now Ottawa, that RC-9515 is an officer in Ottawa? But does this mean my application is going to the next stage? My eligibility is passed, criminality is in progress and security hasn't started yet.

Hi @Petzold, do you mind sharing just the eligibility section of the GCMS notes, after redacting all personal information.

Thank You.

RC-9515 actually means “Regional Centre 9515”, which is in Ottawa. My GCMS note had the same thing.

I called IRCC this afternoon. The agent said that the fingerprints that SC took were apparently of poor quality and that I will probably need to do my biometrics again. I have no idea when I will be asked to schedule another appointment. I guess I have to wait for an officer to review my file and have SC call me again for another appointment. Not sure what I can do at my end to expedite this...

In RC-9515, RC stands for the "responsibility centre (RC) code, which reflects where the application is being processed. The code for CPC-Ottawa is 9515.

So your application has been assigned to CPC-O by the officer whose badge number is GL00248.

See your notes in the last 3-5 pages to see if your eligibility is conclusively passed.

MEP/BIL: Sep 10
Biometrics Completed: October 8th

The passport request mail was sent by LVO Accra. I never contacted IRCC to know where my application was processed.
@legalfalcon I'm getting married January 2021, and will be adding my spouse. My plan is to return my passport for the visa to be cancelled and a new one issued after my spouse is included in the application, hope I'm on the right path?
