Hello,
I need some expert advice on my PR application.
My AOR is Aug 13 and is with MONTREAL VO. I applied as spouse unaccompanying as I didn't had enough points gets ITA with spouse.
My question , is it a good idea to cancel my PR application as I am eligible for BCPNP and CEC and gives me an opportunity to submit pr with spouse and not wait another year for spousal sponsorship?
It's been 6 months now, my file is untouched since oct and my spouse work permit expires on July 2021 . Before which I need to get copr to start the sponsorship application.
1. I am dilemma should I cancel and re enter pool with spouse.
2. Or, wait for current PR and apply for spousal sponsorship ?
@legalfalcon
Please advise
Ultimately it is your decision. You have to weigh the pros and cons, and do what best works for your circumstances. Have an application in progress, is bette than re-doing the entire process all over again, this is all I can say, least is your decision, based on your individual circumstances.@legalfalcon Thank you for replying.
My worry is that my application being in Montreal VO and I don't know how many more months would they take. Even I begin bcpnp process now( 1 month) and another 8 months for both of our pr application for approval . Through spousal being paper based it might taken a year in current condition.
Hence this Dilemma
See https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-permit-result.asp?q1_options=1i&q2_options=2d@legalfalcon ,
I hold PGWP and in April I can apply for 18 month PGWP extension which was recently announced.
1. Can I apply for sowp extension as well for my spouse ?
2. Can I apply pgwp and sowp together?
