August 2019 - Citizenship Applicants

It’s been a month since I passed my test now but it still stays in processing.

I realized that I never had an interview. After the test we all lined up to get our results and all they did was tell me they’d invite me to the ceremony via email so I left.

Did I miss a step? Was I supposed to stay???

We have almost the same timeline. Test invite recvd on Dec 5, Test on Dec 30 in Hamilton (Passed test). Just a few days off. Keep me posted if you get DM and Oath taking invite! Haven't gotten mine still.

I’ll let you know.

My app probably has passed from Scarborough to Hamilton as well.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 21, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on December 12, 2019.

I am still waiting to be asked for the test (I don't know if FP are mandatory as I have been living in Canada for the past 10 years)

If there is no FP request for your case, then expect test invite shortly... I see that most of the FP request situations are still no test invite in both July and August applications.

When did you take the test?
I took my test on December 23rd and haven't heard anything back yet either.

I also had a very short interview where an interviewer just wanted to see my id with my address on it and asked if I still live here.
That was all. No passport stamps, my English test result or any other checks which I was expecting.
She also forgot to tell me my test result at the begging and she figured she didn't tell me.
She let me know that I passed the test and told me I'll be contacted for the ceremony within 4 to 8 weeks.

FYI, I saw from other threads people have been waiting for DM or the oath letter for 1 to 5 months.
It's well away from August yet so I try not to worry too much but the sooner, the better right?
If there is any issue, they'll let us know anyway. Hopely, no news is good news applies this time. : )

One urgent question, I received Test invite today for Feb 17th at Scarbrough. but 2 weeks back I moved to ottawa and changed my address to new address in ottawa. the address is still not updated in the system.
Please advice what action to be taken under this circumstance.

Hi guys!

Quick question: so I had my test on Jan 30th and Decision Made on the same day itself. The CO said he'll email the Oath Invitation in 4-8 weeks and I told him that I'll be travelling Feb 13th-29th. He asked me to write it down for him and sign it.

Do you think I should call IRCC to confirm that or just trust him that he's added it into my notes for oath?

Any idea if the process takes longer because there's been previous travel of an applicant? Or because we are a family (3 applied, 2 adults/1 minor)? Just noticed how the first 8 August applicants on the spreadsheet are single and have DM already, at the same time got DM few days after or same day of the test/interview date.

Still In process for me and the fam. PR card expires in August. Health Card expiring soon, but I wanna process it as a citizen already so its easier. Also travelling in July. Took the test Dec 30, so its been 5 weeks since. Clerk said in about three weeks for Oath invite.

Strange....mine started off in Halifax & then was transferred to Charlottetown when the office opened in August.

I dunno if they transfer to ctown office. i called in Nov 2019 , applied from ctown, ircc told me my local office would be halifax. the news article today showed that ctown office only has 2 intake officers and they enter the application into the system, but all processing still done through sydney, NS?
