So... when it come to the end and the passport request, some stuff I’ve read suggested that if you are in (or rather, have a passport from) a country which doesn’t need a visitors visa that you don’t have to send your passport in?

I am British, we’re in Britain. On Canada’s site I don’t need a visitors Visa...

So does this mean when PR is granted, that’s the end of the process? I assume we get a letter to take along?

Via GCKey - the online portal that you get updates on? It has a messaging system. It sends an email just to say you have a message, then you log into GCKey and it’s waiting for you to read.

Are you registered on GCKey? (IRCC refer to it as ‘linked your account/application online.’)

Yeahhh registered and all. My statuses on GCKey are the same as yours, background check processing etc. Lastt ime they contacted me was to provide passport pictures because the ones I originally sent were the wrong size. SInce then There has been nothing, no pre arrival or anything. Starting to lose patience!

Not holding my breath just yet mate hahaha but yeah hopefully the exact wording was

"Hello, I hope you are well! I ordered my GCMS notes and it states under application old value was - London and that was removed and the new value is blank. Please can you inform me whether my application is currently in London, Sydney or missisuaga. If my application has not been transferred to my local visa office can you please provide me with some indication as to why it hasn't? Kind Regards, Oliver"
