Just received my sponsor approval letter via email. Oddly enough hubby - the applicant - still hasn't received anything.

Congrats! When did you submit your application? Did you get a medical request yet? Most of the things happening at that stage are with the sponsor. The medical request and anything after that should be received by the PA unless you're a representative for your spouse. :)

Received 8/21 in Sydney, but looks like it's been taken over by Mississauga based on everything I've received from them so far. AOR in my email was 10/3, and just received my SA this evening. Finally managed to get the magic combination for linking his application online this evening too. So, overall, a good day! Hoping he receives the medical request soon so we can figure out where & when to take an impromptu medical mini-vacation.

Nice! I'm still waiting for my SA, but the ECAS is already showing DM on the sponsor side. We also received our MR yesterday evening. Good luck to us!

ECAS was showing DM yesterday and I was annoyed that it didn't provide any further detail. I was surprised to get the email today. I'm sure yours is coming soon!
(My phone was having issues opening the PDF attachment and I'm really not a patient person, so that was fun.) Good luck!

hello everyone,
Outland Aug 13th here.
AOR 4th October.

I just checked on my ECAS and it says they sent me mail and Med Request on 5/10. It clearly says MAIL not EMAIL.

Now, because I have a lawyer I cannot check onto CGKEY and I’d like to know if is normal for them to send LETTERS and not emails as my lawyer received AOR via EMAIL ?!
And if it does come via mail, would it go to our lawyer ?
Also on Sponsor it says Decision Made.

This is exactly what it says if I click on ‘in process’

  1. We received xxxxxxx's application for permanent residence on August 13, 2018.
  2. We sent Xxxxxxx a letter on October 4, 2018. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  3. We sent Xxxxxx medical instructions on October 5, 2018. To avoid delays, please provide us with the information requested as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

You misunderstood the 'mail' part on ECAS. That's a generic notification when they send a medical request because not everyone provides an email address. If you provided your email, you can just disregard the "Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us part". The lawyer which is your representative should already have gotten the medical request and form that you'll need to do the exam. If not, there must have been a delay.

About the sponsor part saying Decision Made, that occurs before a medical request is given. The sponsor is eligible. The lawyer should receive the SA soon.

Hi and thank you for explaining!
It says they sent med req on 5/10 (Friday) so probably they have sent it after office hours as per UK local time and therefore he will see it tomorrow. Same happened with AOR, they sent it on 3/10 At 3pm Canada time (8pm UK time), and he saw it and sent it to me on 4/10 at 8am UK time

:)We have Thanksgiving here on Monday so it’s a holiday here so maybe send them an email or call them on Tuesday.

You are probably right. My husband received his medical request on Friday evening too... much too late for me to start calling around to try and book his medical exam, so we're waiting until Monday. Your lawyer is probably next business day (Mon) too. Or Tuesday, if the lawyer is in Canada

Should be tomorrow than as me (PA) and lawyer are both in UK. I’ll post any update if there is anything new!
