question?
I applied for my wife's immigration on May 3rd. Application received on June 4th. My side of the eligibility passed end of June. Medical passed July 14th and the application sent to the London office the same day. It has been sitting there since then. I have contacted the London office and I have an email from them stating that " The application still waits an initial review even now. Is this normal?

It is same as discussed above They will check applicant's Eligibility all the photos, docs etc, it can be in a big lineup too. Give it a month or so and keep checking e-mail, ecas and GCKeys

Same was here for 40+ days then suddenly I read "We are processing your background check." This came in like 2 weeks ago.
So you don't worry too much our day will come. The trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit.

My medical passed in second week of November and then they transfer file to Ontario nothing after that it’s almost 60 days after medical passed nothing yet...

I know it’s very frustrating to wait this long but each case is unique. It’s really all about waiting. I’m sure they will start soon but it’s very hard to say because each Visa office works different in every country.

Approval of sponsorship/passport request/submitted - december 18
COPR received- december 21

Your time line is so so similar to mine.. But I hvnt received any notification since submission of my medicals
Was hoping to get PPR by end of Dec..

How do u get to know that ur file is moved to local VO? Did u get email ? I got an email after few days of my medical passed thatmy file have been moved to
missisauga !! But I don’t know about local VO!!

Hi there
I’ve been looking at this forum since my husband and I submitted our application for permanent residency. I must say it has helped keep me sane while waiting, especially for AOR 1. I wanted to share my timeline with you all so it may help Those still waiting some hope that the processing centres are actually getting stuff done.
I am sponsoring my husband from the US.

• Initial Application submitted May 26th.(Returned to us because in August because the checklist was the old version.)
• Application resubmitted with updated checklist to Sydney as instructed on Aug 16th
• Medical Rquest October 22nd.
• Additional documents required- October 31st.
• Medical Completed November 5th
• Medical Passed November 9th
• Application transferred to Mississauga November 20th
• Passport Request- December 12th.

We never revived the APR or Sponsor approval communications. We only figured out everything was good when we received the medical request letter which had the UCI number.
All communication apart from the request for additional documents have been by mail and delayed significantly due to the current Canada Post strike.
I hope this helps give hope to those waiting.

File received August 17, medical Sone November 06 nothing after that.. automated calling system tells that bg check not stated yet... file transferred to Ontario on November 09 nothing yet... how long it take after medical and file transfer

What is that automated call? Can I get number? Pls
