I ended up coming back to Canada when I applied and changed my status in Dec to a Canadian living in Canada... please help..

• One of my friend applied in August 2018 with similar timelines of mine, he got medical request in Dec and Just the communication that his file is transferred to Mississauga for further processing in Jan 2019. Today he got the Decision made and PPR request at the same time. He never received any communication regrading the file transfer to NDVO.

Well, so then it just means that they never sent it to NDVO right? Nearly all Mississauga lucky birds get to have their applications processed and "decision made" in a matter of just a few weeks. All other ones have to suck it up and be patient like a buddha...

Does anyone know if in cgkey we don’t see yet the line *started background check in...* after the application has been transfered to local visa office means the background check hasn’t really started yet?

Congratulations! could you confirm which office processed your application - it would say so at the bottom of the letters/communication you might have received from them e.g. Sponsor Approval or PPR.

We have an update on CIC gckey login BG check started on 14-01-2019 but the web application status states we started processing your application on 30-01-2019 I haven't received any mails from CIC regarding where the file is being processed. I am still not sure if its processed in India or Canada itself. Timeline is as follows:

Hi, there are some cases where applications got processed in Mississauga and applicants didn't receive any notification. I guess you can only find out if you request GCMS notes. Surely hope this is the case, otherwise you are in for one hell of a wait. Again, expect 12 months for the whole process, as stated on their site, anything less is a bonus for the applicant.
