Interviewing officer didnt even checked my passport or anything , he told me he is approving my case right now and i should get oath invite in 1-3 weeks.I assume i should see DM soon.
There were lot of people for Oath in Mississauga office , probably 50-100 in one time slot

Interviewing officer didnt even checked my passport or anything , he told me he is approving my case right now and i should get oath invite in 1-3 weeks.I assume i should see DM soon.
There were lot of people for Oath in Mississauga office , probably 50-100 in one time slot

My family's application was received by the IRCC in August of 2018. We passed the test in April of 2019. After 17 months of filing the application and 9 months since passing the test, the status still shows "In Process". Does anyone know if getting a lawyer involved can speed up the process beyond just sending an online case-specific inquiry or calling the IRCC by phone? Basically, does anyone have knowledge of any kind of administrative legal action that an immigration lawyer can initiate with the request for the citizenship case to be expedited?

Hi, I am very surprised that as you passed the test almost a year ago that you have heard nothing. Have you spoken to anybody on the IRCC helpline at all and have they shed any light on this at all? Have they advised or given you any information as to why you have heard nothing. I would be concerned at this stage that the office may have overlooked your file or mistakenly thought everything was complete - assuming the helpline have not told you otherwise?

An online communication should instigate a response in 5 working days.

You could try obtaining your file but this will take time and in the meantime you are still in the same boat. Or you could contact your local MP and explain the situation since the average should be 1 year. Personally I would call first, if I am unhappy with the response I would send a formal online communication, and after 5 days, I would approach my MP and ask for their help. Others may have better advice or have a way to expedite this. Hope all works out for you very quickly.
