Thank you !

I am a Surrey applicant, took my Oath yesterday. Status shows complete today. I want to thank the good folks who created Canada Visa Forum and all those who shared their cases here. This forum has allowed our family to successfully apply under FSW, get our PR and finally becoming citizens. Good luck to those who are waiting. Canada is a great country please keep it the best place by your conduct, values and behavior.

Congratulations, it is with a warm heart that I wish you and your family all the best as new Canadian Citizens. I am sure it is a joyous experience and one which has been a long and anxious journey to arrive at. :):):)

Congrats, i'm still waiting to be re-invited. How long did it take them to reinvite you and what office where you with?
Olivio232, we were invited on April 24 (for an oath date of May 10), we sent our paper letter requesting rescheduling on April 25, we heard nothing from them through May or June so on July 10 I used the case-specific inquiry box available when looking at our status online, just to ask them, "Hello. Two months ago, my spouse and I were scheduled for an oath date (May 10) that we could not attend. We sent a paper letter in advance, as required, but cannot determine whether the letter was received, and have not received a new oath date. Is there any way to find out if our letter was received and if we are receiving a new oath date? Thank you." I got an email in reply on July 18 saying, among other things, "We verified the information on file and are pleased to confirm that your justification of absence was received by the responsible office." Then the very next week, July 25, we got our new oath date, for August 30! So I cannot help wondering if inquiring sort of moved our file along, but it may have just been a coincidence. I hope this information gives you a sense of time-frame. Good luck! It's lovely to be a citizen at last!

Does anyone's file stuck because of finger prints not received by CIC, i even pass my test as well. i wrote CIC but no response since January 2019.
i submitted my file august 2018, got test request and finger print request on November 2018 BUT since then nothing is happening. i even asked them via CIC Web-form but no reply.

any help would be appreciated.

Application submission, Aug 13,2018
Processing on Nov 23, 2018
i have contacted CIC office several times right after 12 months, they sent a follow-up, also they have sent my file from Mississagua to Scarborough due to high volume of applicants on Aug 13, 2019 right on 12 months timeline
they told me to contact on Sep 14 in case i did not hear anything from them for a second follow up,
meanwhile i have contacted our MP office around our house to request a follow up and after 2 weeks they called me from MP office and they informed me that my file went for routine check-up (meaning CIC office is checking on number of days i lived in Canada) however i applied when my eligibility was 3 years and 3 months just in case to have extra days,
and the MP office said routine check-up can take up to 2 years, is ther anyone has a similar case, suggestion or feedback,
i am so pissed and disappointed as i was planning to travel during Christmas after 2 years,
cheers
