I think so. At my interview, the officer told me someone would review the file, but 2 weeks later, she called me and told me that she’d send an email requesting more docs. And voila ..., CIT 0520 :/

Ohhh. How did you know it was the same person?

I hope the officer assigned to me will call me as well so I can ask why my test result has not been entered yet 2 weeks after the exam :/

Thanks! We received the oath ceremony invitation letter today (April 3). Oath ceremony is taken place on May 31, 2019. We are travelling to Europe on June 26 so hopefully we should have enough time for Canadian passport. Admin please update line 47.
Congratulations! Wishing you all the best for your Oath ceremony. Enjoy the day. :) Spreadsheet updated.

Because she called me and said “this is ..... from citizenship office. And etc etc “ . Then I recognized her voice and she asked me some questions that she didn’t get to to ask at the interview. And then I could also see the phone number and when I did the reverse lookup on google, I saw her name and title on 411.gov.ca website.

So yes now I’m crossing fingers. Good luck to you and all of us .

Do she use her own phone to call? Cause I have a bunch of missed calls the past few days.

No it was the government office number and listed on 411.gov.ca site.

You knew your test results right away, right ? Just the decision hasn’t been made yet for you, I guess.

Oh okay.
Yup, she told me I got 19/20 and that there’s no question with my passport stamps and my whole application at all.

That’s why I don’t understand why it’s still in process ;((((

Oh then I think you should be getting an oath invite soon. I think that Central Canada is really crowded with all the applications . That may be one of the reasons. Just check your ECAS regularly and one day soon I’m sure you’ll see the decision made.

OP said "background check".

Also guys, don't call CIC unless it's to confirm receipt of documents. You just slow everyone else's application down because they need to spend time answering phones.

Actually, OP said that background check is DONE already.

And about the CIC hotline, isn’t that a call center? It’s separate from the people who are actually processing our applications.

I am on the same boat as you. My oath ceremony is on April 26th and I am flying to Europe on May 22nd. I called the passport office and they said I have enough time to receive my passport. Did you buy your ticket already?

To my fellow forum friends, is it ok to buy the air ticket before I receive my passport? I feel confident about receiving my passport on time. Therefore I called the travel agent yesterday to book my ticket as it's cheaper to buy it earlier. But the travel agent confused me saying it's better to buy the ticket after my oath ceremony and once I know the date exactly when the passport will be in my hand. If everything goes well I should be receiving my passport 10-12 days before my trip. But If I buy my ticket then, it is likely to be more expensive. Do you guys think it is safe to buy my air ticket before the oath ceremony? Any suggestion would be appreciated

we bought our tickets back in February since it was cheaper. I think you have enough time to get your passport in hand for your flight. It takes 10 days to get passport and 2 - 9 days if expedited. I personally would buy air tickets now if it's on sale.
