Does anyone know what's going on with the Montreal office? There doesn't seem to be much movement for oath ceremonies once it's at the local office. Have not gotten any news via ecas either. Took test and DM in mid-Jan.... I know it can take much longer, but seeing people who tested after makes me so impatient!! Thanks!

Question: On February 13, I presented my test and passed. The immigration agent said to wait for ceremony in the first week of April. Yet, I haven't seen a formal invitation or any updates on my profile. Any thoughts?

Hi, In my case, I only see three lines, with the last line being they started processing my application on November 8th. To date, it still hasn't been updated even though I passed my citizenship test on January 31st. Is ti something to be concerned about. I still haven't received the invitation to my oath ceremony.

It is worth keeping an eye on the link I have attached. At the moment I can see that there are Oath ceremonies tasked in Winnipeg for March 28, 29, April 5, 12, 14, 18 and 26. The Winkler location is showing Oath ceremonies tasked for April 26, 28, 29. April 5, 12, 14, 18 and 26.

This online link allows you to see forthcoming information. It is usually updated monthly, and shows the regions throughout Canada. Note: for the temporary offices (where a permanent site does not exist) a separate link exists.

If you ever get notice via email that a date has been sent for test / Oath, and the email states a letter confirming the date and time has been sent and you subsequently don't receive it, I personally would follow up with the CIC helpline if I were you. My understanding is that CIC should give a minimum of two weeks notice of tests and Oath ceremonies. I have seen some applicants from other months get just two weeks notice, while others get a month or more.

I hope this helps. :)

Thank you so much for the detailed information and links. Do they also send a physical mail for oath invites or is it just email. I am so stressed out. I am planning a trip to Europe on 23rd May, while I will definitely let them know that I will be traveling so, I am also planning to move to Ontario at the beginning of June. I am hoping to have my oath ceremony and passport before I leave for the trip. But for now, it's looking like I might just have to apply for my Schengen visa to Europe. If I get my Canadian Passport soo then I won't have to apply for a visa. So many logistical challenges. :(

Nothing to worry about. I still have three lines, but got my Oath letter. Yours will come soon.

My oath letter was by email. When my family got theirs last year it was by post so I think it could be either.

Oath letter arrived yesterday - March 26, 2019

Ceremony date - April 26, 2019.

Hi All,
I have one query...

I am still waiting for Test Date and my family is travelling to Native country for couple or months in July to September.
All process will not get completed before that looks like.
Can we reschedule the OATH date to October / November after giving Citizenship test.
Please advise.

Thanks a lot in advance

Hello Admin, please update. Taking the Oath on May 17, 2019.

My letter has not arrived yet. However, I called CIC as agent during my test told me my ceremony was early April... And called CIC because if it was April, I needed to know the exact date. CIC Agent over the phone told me they sent invitation letter on March 20, 2019 to my email. However, I never got that letter via email. They were going to re-issue the email and still waiting for it. This phone call happened today March 28, 2019.
