Hi, thanks for the question. I am not sure what the official position is re: taking an expired PR card for the Oath ceremony, but if I were in that position, I would definitely take it with you. I would probably also make a call to the CIC helpline just to see if they can add any extra advice. I am sure there must be others in your position. Maybe one of the other applicants can offer some insight?

Thank you

Hey Guys,

I have a question. My application for "Grant of Citizenship" is Still In Process. The following are the details:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 13, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application on August 30, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on September 17, 2018.
They have already taken too long for sending the Test Invite Date. Anything to worry about?

ADMIN: Please insert the row for my details above. Thanks.

You would be a part of July applicants' sheet. It is normal for Ontario and BC to wait this long. Even longer for many applicants. I would say sit tight and let it play out on its own.

Got my test invite today for test March 6th.

I can't attend so used the link in the email to reschedule, new date will be March 20th, 26th or 27th as they have you indicate available days from a list when you reschedule, i chose the first 3 dates.

I am processing through the Vancouver office so it is nice to see some movement!

Passed the test on Feb 5 @ 8.30 AM.
Ecase status changed to Decision Made on Feb 8

I'm in the final lap! Heard that there is not a lot of waiting time between Decision Made and Oath. They are conducting Oath ceremonies in large groups and sometimes 2 per day!

Congratulations! Sheet updated. Hope your wait for final stage is very short.

any one knows about processing times at scarborough centre after test/interview for oath ceremony

ECAS says decision made today, please update. but no email for oath ceremony, is it normal?
Got my decision made on 1st February. No email or letter as yet. Just a waiting game I reckon

Had our test today. Both got 20/20. Interviewed 3rd out of 40 people and the interview was very rushed. I explained that I had a few (3) entries wrong in my physical presence calculator and she said I haven't got time to look at it now but ye seem to have enough days anyway. I hope we don't get a residency questionnaire down the line. Entries were correct except the year, so I actually gained a day. From start of test to finish of interview - 20 mins. She also said all our clearances were back.
