Hi, I am still waiting for AOR. Application was received on 22 August.

Just realized one thing that my passport which I submitted with the application was expired in Oct. Will I get my application returned or will they request for new passport after AOR is received?

Do you guys suggest me to send my new passport to the same address where we sent our application with a cover letter? or wait for AOR or application returned?

Logically, I don't think that should be an issue. Because, as far as my understanding goes, all that that matters to them is if the information submitted by you is accurate and genuine or not. I don't think your current passport validity will be their concern. Passport validity does apply for PR applications though. But I guess for citizenship, if they start processing your application, you'll eventually have no use of your current passport, valid or not, you'll get your Canadian passport once you get to that point.

BUT, just to be sure, you can always call them and inquire. Or you can raise a query to them in the below link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

so, I don't think there will be any use of obtaining a new passport when it is not going to be of any use once you get your Canadian passport. Unless your country allows dual citizenship. If they do allow and if I were you, I will apply for a new passport right away.

I have a question. When checking my status, I see that they have "Your current home address" and "Your current mailing address". However, they have my current mailing address as my previous home address (current home address is correct tho). Is there a reason why they added my old home address as my current mailing address? Will affect/delay my process if I update my address? Or should I even bother updating? Feedback will be appreciated.

Hello everyone, I applied on Aug 10th-ish and then moved shortly afterwards. I have updated my address by sending IRCC an electronic form. I still don't have my application live on ECAS though. Should I be worried? I mean nothing, nothing at all.

you need to obtain materials for exam study. other than that you are okay. the book available online.
