Email if you provided one with your application.Hi everyone - sorry stupid question, are we supposed to receive AOR in the email or via regular mail?
Thanks!
User Ponga explained it pretty well. See quote below.Wanted to ask what does AOR actually mean...besides just that they have received it
Is it that all the documents have been received and have been validated that all is there and completed correctly?
Does it mean that they have validate the days and are eligible?
That the proof of english documents provided are sufficient?
Thanks
AOR is more than that. It also means that CIC has at least performed a cursory glance through the package and has deemed it to be complete.
[From CIC document ip08):
Initial receipt and coding
An initial process occurs on receipt of every application, including those involving Quebec
applicants. This process includes information gathering, record creation and administrative steps
to ensure that initial evaluation can begin. This process includes, among others, the following
steps:
• verification for completeness;
• return to sponsor, if application is not complete, or acceptance by date stamp receipt;
• creation of both a paper and electronic file;
• acknowledgement; (this is AOR)
• request for any support documents or information that may be missing;
• verification of and possible printing of the FOSS and/or CAIPS record; and
• electronic transfer of biodata information to CPIC.
Please check the spreadsheet. Theres a column called AOR to IP. That'll give you an idea of how long it might take.When does application go into ecas? after receiving AOR?
The same like you!My traking number has also stayed in Halifax on August 14th until now. The Canada post has sent a confirmation letter to me saying that it has arrived on August 15th. However, I have not received AOR until now. Last week, I sent an email to the Immigration Department. They have already forwarded my request to the relevant department. I have not received any response yet. If you have received AOR please let me know.
I don’t think you should have a problem, your physical presence requirement has been met. I’ve traveled twice since I applied, but there is not real way of knowing if it delays the process. Still waiting on AOR.Does anyone here know or has had experience traveling while waiting for their citizenship?
I'm thinking about doing a day trip to Seattle for the long weekend, but not sure if this would delay the application process and would rather be safe.
Hi Everyone. Here is my info:
ID: krispherson
Location:Toronto
App. Type: Single
Physical Presence Days:1133
App. Sent: Aug 11, 2018
App. Received: Canada Post Xpresspost tracking status "in transit" since August 14 - Has not updated since. Called Canada post to find out what happened back in August, it was escalated to a Supervisor when i called, Supervisor told me that because the place in Nova Scotia is a high volume receiver, packages are not signed for upon receipt so the status is not updated. "shrug" It is thought to be delivered on August 14th.
AOR - Waiting
Called CIC this week, nothing on file for me yet. Nothing on ECAS for me yet. Nothing in the mail.
Anyone with this experience for Canada post? Everyone seems to have a received date.
Not a problem at all. I know someone who was away for close to 6 months after applying due to family commitments. He is now a citizenDoes anyone here know or has had experience traveling while waiting for their citizenship?
