applicants in the first week of august should have got an AOR by now , it has been more than 2 months.

I got my AOR yesterday. Application received Aug 1st. Mailed end of July. Mississauga.

Took about two and a half months, looks like things are getting slower now.
I just applied, looks like the holiday season will even slow down the process further.

I am new to this forum, I submitted my application (family) on aug 27th 2018, it is 13 October now, still I am not able to find application on CIC website.
Canada Post says that application has been delivered.
Does it take this long for the website tracker to get updated?

Currently it is taking them about 2 months or more from receipt date to open your application. When they open your application and find it complete, they will send you an AOR ( acknowledgement of receipt ) to your email. and you will find your application ( in process status) sometime after
you receive AOR.

my question is, under August 2018 tab.... why some names are highlighted with color?

is it by mistake? or do i have to know anything? my name was highlighted in color...

In a few days after you get your AOR, you will be able to see your app. status on the application status webpage of Immigration. you don't need to
do any linking.
