AOR : 7th aug 2018
Re med request: 15th August
Medical done: 31st August
Medical passed : 6th September
PPR: 10th September

My passport is less than 6 months validity now. I want to renew. Did anybody got their passport renewed?? Can you share your experience please. @tobs

Thanks a lot guys it has been a long long journey and without you all it would have been so difficult to go through this gruesome wait.
Congrats.
I sent my expiring passport for the visa and renewed my passport after I had received my COPR then I travelled to Canada with both passports.

Thanks a lot Tobs for replying. Good ur still around to guide us all. My husband has applied for a new passport and we wrote to cic informing the same, they hv granted us an extension. Since In the PPR snail it was written that passport needs to have six months validity and ours was only 4 months left. I will take both to the VFS office as soon as we get the renew passport but 90% it will be the new passport or both. Will update soon.

Thanks a. Lot :)

Hi, I recently added my spouse to my application. I now got a message to undergo a medical exam but am just not sure if the request is only for me or for my spouse as well. Could anyone help me in this regards ? In the sense, will the spouse get a seperate request or if this request is for both ?

Hi All...... Can anyone tell me how to contact CiC agents call centre, outside of canada??? PleaSE HELP ME OUT WITH THE CONTACT NUMBER

@TOBS:- iF YOU CAN HELP ME OUT WITH THIS:-

The application was received at the Centralized Intake office on September , 2018.

The Case Processing Center in Ottawa is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if the applicant and their family members meet the eligibility requirements under the class for which they have applied.

The eligibility requirements assessment is awaiting an officer review.

The medical examination results have expired for the applicants.

The criminality verifications are currently valid

The security verifications have not been initiated the applicants.

As this file is considered a non-routine one, there is no specific timeframe to finalize it.

Can you please let me understand the whole situation and especially the last one "As this file is considered a non-routine one, there is no specific timeframe to finalize it."

Please help me in this.....Please Please Please

By phone. Call the IRCC Call Centre (1-888-242-2100), from within Canada only, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm local time, except for statutory holidays). To speak to an agent, navigate through the automated messages by pressing 3-4-1-0.

If your spouse hasn't given medical then it's for both of you.

@pavan23 : The reason I asked was because, in the guidelines document sent to me by CIC only my name was written on it and there is no mention of my spouse. As you could see from my timeline, I did my medical for the first time in Sep 2018 and was asked to redo it today whereas my spouse was not asked to do the medical yet. Can I still assume it to be a request for both ? or should I assume that the spouse will be sent another request seperately ? Thank you for your response.

My Timeline:
AOR - 27 Aug 2018
Medical Exam (first time) - 21 Sep 2018
Married - 27 June 2019
Added spouse to application - 12 Aug 2019
Request for Re-medical - 20 Sep 2019

As you have added your spouse, it's required to do medicals for her as well... That might trigger addition of her profile into your application
I did the same, before adding my spouse I had done her medicals upfront and sent the documents to IRCC and my spouse was added to my profile within 30 days..
It's just my suggestion to get her medicals done along with yours...

It doesn't mean much. May be another way of saying that since 6 months have elapsed they have no more specific timeframe for the file. Your best bet is to order gcms notes and see what's going on.
