Thru gcms. My eligibility and criminality were cleared on 31 oct and usually after that security starts

You can't jump into conclusion that you're on security screening and moreover it doesn't normally show on gcms according to people with previous experience. You only know when they send you a mail that your application is taking them a longer time to process

To those who have received PPR:

Prior to receiving PPR, did any of you receive emails/ updates regarding settling down in canada?

Just spoke to an agent and she said such email would indicate that you are about to get the golden mail

Hi Guys,

A query from a friend who is looking to apply for PR via express entry.
Her IELTS score is R - 8.5, L - 8.5, W - 7.5, S - 7.5

She has close to 4 years of work experience
2 years in NOC 0112 (current)
1 year 8 months in NOC 1222

Will she be eligible for the 50 points relating to CLB 9 or higher and more than 3 years of work experience (confused as the experience is under two different NOC)?

Ask her to fill out the points calculator on IRCC site and check the points. She can select 2 yrs of experience then check the total score

She can't claim points for 2 different NOCs, the application is based on only one NOC

wow man.. ur timeline and mine are so similar.. except that I paid RPRF upfront and did not haev biometrics..lets stay connected.. I am FSW O from India.. what about you?

Sure. I’ll update if anything new happened.

No! They hardly send those emails/letters anymore

Not true. She can claim “three years or more” of foreign work experience based on the information provided. Plus she has scores in the highest band for each of the IELTS sections.

Also, there are no “points” for NOCs, just that you have to pick a primary NOC in which you can demonstrate at least one year of full time work experience in the past 10 years.

Ask her to fill out the points calculator on IRCC site and check the points. She can select 2 yrs of experience then check the total score

This is absolutely incorrect. Please don’t spread misinformation. You can very much have as many NOCs as you like - you need not be restricted to a single NOC.

Only thing to keep in mind is that at least 1 year in a single NOC is required to be eligible. Beyond that, you can have as many NOCs as you like. It doesn’t impact you negatively in any way. I too had two different NOCs but I had more than 1 year of experience in a single NOC at least. She can very much claim points for two different NOCs.

Yes it is.

Technically no, not yet. Your application will be in approved once you send your passports and they issue you a COPR. But yeah, you can say 99% work is complete on your application.

Oh i see. So i really have to wait for my passport to be returned before i can finally breathe LOL.
