So...I called them today and an agent told me that my application is currently being processed at a Local Visa Office in Canada. I applied from the USA.

When she asked me if I had any other questions, I said "I check my profile at least 3 times a day and have been doing so since August. It still says that my eligibility is still being reviewed. I'm worried now since it's been under review for 5 months now"

The reply was "I can tell you why it took so long but your application is still under 6 months. There's nothing to worry about. They don't need anything from you and it should process smoothly without any issues. It could go longer or it could get completed before 6 months."
That’s the exact same response to me. I applied from USA. AOR 8/3

when do we get to see progress bar. I submitted my application on 28th Dec.

Early rejections could be due to an incomplete application, mostly in the first month. If you have submitted your applcation with extra care, my experience in past few months says just lay back and relax; keep hope and wait for the best.

Happy New Year Everyone! Hope we all get our PPRs very soon....if a file has to be rejected, how soon would CIC let us know.....? Any idea? For any xyz reason, does rejection happen immediately and updated or do they keep it pending for months before informing the applicant?
The later it happens, the less likely it will happen. After 4 months, you can sleep and only worry about whether your security will take long or not.

I never heard about "case analyst's recommendations". I just called CIC before new year and an agent told me that my eligibility is still in progress. My AOR is August 30.

I really feel the call center agents dont see much, especially when your application is with the local visa office. The best way to know your status is by ordering Gcms notes.

My security did not start yet. So, my application should not be in local visa office, right?

Recommendations would be: Met, recommended passed or review required. If met or recommended passed, then no reason to worry. You can find out this information from the call agent or GCMS notes.

They don't see anything when it's with LVO.

I did not ask this question when I called the agent. I thought "in progress" means no conclusion made yet. Therefore, they will not be able to tell me if "met", "recommend met", "require review".
