No need to be confused. Every applicant has received same email and we need to wait out to see what it actually means.
But if you read the email carefully it says they will show "processing times" and likely time for decision. My guess is basically they will put that "6 months" timeline right in the profile so that people don't have to go to a different link to see that.
Also, it says that they will let you know when this change is made. My guess is this change may be rolled out on certain kind of candidates first.
Overall, my opinion is this is not going to impact processing in anyway. But it will give rest to the call agents as now they can simply tell you look at the timeline on your profile which will be 6 months. So calling before 6 months will become even more useless than it is currently.
