I am trying to update my address as I have recently moved. The change of address through IRCC does not allow me to update my address. this is what it shows.
Does anyone knows why this is happening??

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

• Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
• This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not begun processing it yet. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:

• At this time, you may use this on-line service if you have:
  • sponsored a member of the family class;
  • applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
  • applied for a permanent resident card (replacement or renewal);
  • applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
  • applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
  • applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);
  • applied to renounce Canadian citizenship; or
  • applied to resume Canadian citizenship.

The information that you're filling to raise CSE should match exactly with the one in your EE Application. The error appears when something doesn't match with the information that we've submitted; e.g. sometimes, our passport names are bit different than the one we normally use. So, I would advise you to check and verify everything once more. Coz I did experience such difficulty a couple years ago. The CIC agents are gonna say the same to you. So, verify all the dates and stuff and try again. Or, if it helps, try using different browser.

I raised a CSE about my VO and status of application and I got the following reply few minutes ago:

"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your permanent residence application under the Canadian Experience Class.

• Your application is located at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.

• The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if you and your family members if applicable meet the eligibility requirements under the class for which you have applied. You can expect to be contacted if additional information is necessary.

We invite you to visit our website for more information on what to expect after a permanent residence application is submitted.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry."

The weird thing is I received my GCMS back in October and my Eligibility was showing as : Recommend Passed;
Criminality was pending and security hadn't started until Oct end.

I don't know why are they still reviewing my eligibility! It's December for God's sake! Things are so strange with CIC these days!

Criminality - Completed
Security - Not started!

This wait is so aggravating!

Wow that's a great news! I was just going to reply to @skw that there should be some due date kinda system for each application so that we may plan accordingly! It's wonderful to hear that CIC is putting more efforts to make things easier for us applicants.

guess that's how they been doing with people from biometrics-requested countries...

I honestly wonder how the process will look like from January 1st 2019 when biometrics become mandatory for everybody ..

I wish cic had a “expected decision date” feature. They can update it as and when they have more info. It makes waiting bearable.
