I would still inform them if this was my case :)
Always better to be transparent. No harm in informing.

But again, I don't have any accurate info. This is just a personal choice.
Yeah. I understand.
But I don't think there's any value in that information to either party. But Like I've come to know with this entire process, It's usually best for each applicant to do what gives them peace of mind.

I had called CIC and got through to an agent last week. He told me that they are looking at my documents and so far it looks OK. Eligibility, background, security, etc. are yet to begin. Meds are cleared (which I knew already).
For 30th Aug AOR, I don't know what should I call this pace :(
I am hoping someone is looking at my file (and the agent didn't know). Stupid and desperate (I know) !!
We have the same status as you, I don't know why. Gotta just be patient.

Hi Guys, my journey from AOR to PPR took 70days!!!
My Timeline;

ITA- 08/AUG/2018
AOR-29/AUG/2018
MEP-24/SEPT/2018
BIOMETRICS- 26/SEPT/2018

PPR-09/NOV/2018
PPR mail was sent twice.

Btw I'm FSW-O, Nigeria

Congrats on your PPR. It was quite fast. Was there any IP1 or IP2 update in between? I am confused about this that's why I am asking.

My Application has been in IP2 from AOR, I think its because of Biometrics.

Just out of curiosity, is there any correlation between the “How to find a job in Canada” letter and PPR email? In the very beginning of the letter it says: “Congratulations. You are now a candidate for immigration to Canada.” Maybe there’s where something has been approved/passed. I am looking for some point of refrence since IP1 and IP2 are meaningless.

In the same fashion do you advise me to add information by CSE about my wife visa refusal even though I answered the question in the statutory (I only missed the second question stating the same, since it didn't have an explanatory field).
I am required to fill in an IMM5669 form but the reason they are giving me is about my personal history in 2009/03 and 2009/06 and not my wifes.
In the form I gave further explanations about my wife's visa refusal, I don't know if it will suffice or I need to put it in the CSE ?
Thanks.

Just to be clear. Are you quitting your job with the expectation that your PPR is around the corner? If that's your reason then maybe have a rethink.
But If your question is if quitting your job will have an impact on your application, the answer is NO. You do not need to notify CIC. You have submitted work reference letters that meet the period for which you claimed points for (i'm assuming it's three years), so there's nothing to worry about.
People change jobs during the period of their PR application and it doesn't in any way affect their application.
No, I'm not quitting because I'm expecting the PR. I'd have anyway quit. I was just concerned about any negative impact it may have. But after reading your comment, I'm relieved. I hope everything works out well. Thanks a lot for responding.

No there's no correlation. In my case the How to get a job letter was received on the same day my file was transferred from CIO to CPC. I got to know from my GCMS notes.

I have not ordered GCMS notes, but my this could be my case too. I enquired through CSE Webform and I came to know that my case has sent to CPC Ottawa (nothing about the date though). As an speculation, the letter might being sent when the case is sent to CPC. Not helpful though o_O
