===============================
AOR – NA1 – MEP – IP1 – NA2 – IP2 – NA3 – PPR – CoPR
AOR: This is a letter you will get within 24 hours after submission of your PR application.
NA1: “Not applicable“. This will be your BG status message as soon as you submit and get AOR. Typically, this will be status till the time you get your medical passed status.
MEP: “You passed the medical exam“. This will generally happen after approx 10-15 days after your AOR. For PNP applicants it can take more time generally.
IP1: This will happen one or two days after your medical. Sometimes on the same day itself. BG status message in this stage will be “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office).
NA2: “Not applicable“. This will signify that IP1 is completed. Sometimes IP1 will take few hours and if we have not checked our account during the time it was in IP1, it won’t be possible to know that we are in NA1 or NA2. Our file will be transferred to CPC (Case Processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks.
IP2: BG status message in this stage will be “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“. Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations.PPR mail will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF up front.

Please can someone help me understand what's happening with my application?
We had an issue with the xray. We had to get a sputum test done in the first week of August. Waiting for the results. In the meanwhile, we received our biometrics request last week and we had them done yesterday.
This is what our status page says: What stage is my application in right now?
Review of eligibility : We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results We are reviewing the results of your medical exam.
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We need your fingerprints to process your application. Check your messages below for details.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
Many Nigerian citizens have got the similar status changes, IP-2 from beginning and Meds are delayed a bit.Hi guys ...
Just a bit curious .. my AOR is August 22nd and from the moment I submitted my application my background check was in: "We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“ Everything else was the same as for any other applicant.
Just wondering did anyone of you had this status from the moment you submitted your application?
One other thing .. this is now what .. IP1, IP2 .. IP74?..
I'm, however, still waiting for the medicals to pass .. Any AOR August 22nd got their medical passed?
Thanks in advance for the info..
Thank you. I haven't been tracking changes in the status (stupidly). I vaguely remember seeing "not applicable" for something - but that's not there now. Is there anyway I can see old status or changes? There's no one stage for any application and thus stages vary from case to case. It is us who named the stages, for example, BGC stages as IP-1 and IP-2, for convenience and not IRCC. Since you have quite a few changes in statuses, I would say you are in Meds: Under review, Biometrics: Uploaded, BGC: IP-2. Probably an officer is reviewing multiple things at the same time in your case.
Well if It is after med passed, then it is IP1 not IP2. Unless it was IP1 then went to NA and became IP again (2nd time, hence is IP2).
Probably not, but why do you bother about older changes?Thank you. I haven't been tracking changes in the status (stupidly). I vaguely remember seeing "not applicable" for something - but that's not there now. Is there anyway I can see old status or changes?
Since many of you have not checked previous posts, I am again sharing Group Link for August AOR.

What I meant was that I knew this happened to some Nigerians but it could very well be for some others too.I am not Nigerianbut still waiting for my meds, AOR 19th August but "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." from day one.
