Hey everyone,
(The July 2017 thread is dead so maybe I will have more luck here)
My partner and I applied for a conjugal partner sponsorship for Quebec, she is a citizen. I am from Tunisia and she is lebanese Candian. We wanted to apply as spouses but I couldn't get a visa to Canada (twice) to be able to marry and apply inland. We have lived together for a year in Lebanon before that, but had to find a back-up plan since I wasn't able to have a work permit and had to leave every three months to reapply for visa especially that as same sex couple, we couldn't risk living together neither in Lebanon nor in Tunisia because of same-sex criminalizing laws. Our application was received on July 19th, 2017 and received by Mississauga, our file was transfered to Paris on October, that is when I received a letter for Medical exam, in November they asked about police certificat. we received our CSQ in January and in February I received an email requesting the CSQ, a police certificate from Lebanon and Morocco (where I lived for more than 6 months) and the Annexe A. We got married in the US in December and sent a scan of the wedding certificate to Paris immigration Office but never received any comment about it. Ever since I sent all the required documents (last one sent 30th of April) I haven't had any answer from them. The status online hasn't been updated and we are starting to panic. Any idea what should be the next steps and if there is a problem? I keep sending emails to ask about updates but no answer, we are both very anxious about the process especially that we can't even see eachother. Please help
