How can they exactly verify certain informations regarding people's education or family stuff? I don't believe foreign governments share such information between themselves, do they contact universities, job places?

i dont know exactly but its not unthinkable is it?
they need to verify you are who you say you are.

Yes, they share all the information for the purposes of immigration.

My ECAS shows "We started processing your application on October 30, 2017." and I have not received any email nor message saying which VO it is processing at. Is there anywhere else I can obtain this info on VO?

i understand it must be difficult for those of you who are not living with your partner. i cant imagine being away from my husband for this long.
thankfully, for those who can use it, there is the option of moving to Canada and applying inland for a work permit and PR simultaneously so that they can be together.
the thing is they are taking this into consideration and have committed to processing spousal sponsor PR applicants within a 12 month limit. id say most will happen in less than that.

I wish we could be together, but they keep refusing visitor visa for Canada..so there is no way for us to wait together

My ECAS said we started processing your application on october 23.2017, we received a letter that our application was sent to Vienna office.Now I am Waiting next step....

The reason is that I have not enough ties with my country of residence. Basically they are pretty sure that I will not come back but will stay with my husband.

I've heard they are now issuing visas to people who applied in March-April
