OMG I can't believe it, i didn't check since last Friday then I just check ECAS, I see DM!!!
So happy, I can't wait to mycic to change status and hopefully email soon
I was about apply extension for my visitor visa, so it was perfect timing!

My husband received his COPR in the mail today! We're not planning on going to Canada until June though. We need time to get everything organized.

It depends on the visa office. For Ottawa, as of the start of the new year, we are seeing DM on ECAS about a week before we receive a PPR.

it was quite common for PPR to come before DM and DM signaling the COPR was in the mail, especially for visa exempt applicants. Technically, a decision can't be made on an application if the RPRF isn't paid (which is generally requested with the PPR) and if the applicant's current passport is not valid. In addition, the PPR confirms the personal information that will be listed on the COPR (approval paper). it makes more sense for PPR to come before DM. DM coming before PPR is a new thing for some visa offices.
