My permanent residence application is "in process".
i am approved as sponsor came to know through call to cic.
but still no formal SA mail.
is it possible not to get SA?

I asked CIC the same question. They said no.
So double check the spam and the junk folders in your email client (yours both, the sponsor and the PA, as they send it sometimes by mistake to the PA). And if still unsuccessful, contact CIC. Good luck to you!

I got an update on my online account yesterday evening to say that the background check for my wife is in progress. Very nice to see that things are moving along!

I've been very busy lately that's why I haven't been posting anything guys, but I want to congratulate everyone that has had news from CiC already. That's a step closer to your loved ones! Keep the good news coming, I'll try to call today to see if they transferred my files because it says in process for the PA and they confirmed I was accepted as a sponsor but no mail whatsoever since then.

Even i didn't got SA but they confirmed it on phone. But today i got Aor2

my VO mississauge. my husband filed application in canada,. im waiting for AOR2.. but seems i really dont know whats AOR2, its just like AOR1 is the one emailed that they received application, and then AOR2 is the one emailed that sponsor approved and forward to manila of the application, something like that not surely clear with me.. because i read, some here. anyone can tell me and melodeeg what is AOR1 and AOR2 which we are waiting.. ??? thanks..

Hi!! I see, thanks for the info. It seems that I already got my AOR 2 and it's last Sept 20. I'm now waiting for PPR or DM in my ECAS status update.

Sweet, that's good news for us HK applicants!
Unfortunately I'm awaiting the CSQ from Quebec, so I can assume things will (hopefully) be quite speedy once it's in their hands.
Happy to hear about your good fortune, and let's just hope your wife doesn't live a double life as an international spy being sought by INTERPOL. ;D
