Hello guys,

I am a PR and my GF's(who is in india) vistor visa (TRV) is being processed by my sister(citizen).
we are getting married after 6 months in India.

If her visitor visa got rejected, will it be a bad impact on her spousal sponsorship after our marriage.
Please advise.

Thanks,
Saby

Nope, it's not going to affect at all. I called immigration to ask that because I did the same to my husband, tried to apply for TRV but he got rejected. I have received SA so it means it's okay.

No emai, no update, no AOR2 >:( >:( >:(
I checked mycic again after reading above messages. It shows:

Application status: Open
Review of eligibility: review in progress
Review of Medical results: passed
Review of submitted documents: Blank
Scheduling of interview: not needed at this time
A background check is needed: In progress
Final decision: Not started

Is the above normal?? I never paid attention to what the above had before.

The ecas shows "application received" as status on applicant side. Nothing showing as (in process) :-X

Wow! You background check is in progress! That means you will be PPR sooner or later. Where was uour application forwarded Toronto?

Why he got rejected?
'My sister is trying her TRV before we getting married!
What are chaces of visitor visa? She has job back there in india!

Their reason is family ties. Because wife and son is here so they don't believe he's gonna come back at the end of his visiting validity.

Hi Everyone,

just checked mycic has been updated , eligibility in progress now.

May I ask what's the difference between ECAS and MyCIC? I can only access ECAS, how will I able to create account for MyCIC? I really can't wait to see status change about my application. Please help!:) thanks a lot... Good luck to all of us!:) :D :D :D

Yeah don't worry, I still haven't heard anything...we just have the slowest agent in the world

Thank you folks! Sorry to hear you're in the same situation.

Email alert and checking ECAS and MyCIC every minute are driving us crazy, my wife and I.

But what's driving us the nuttiest is that this is about a family project, involving young children. Moving back to Canada after more than a decade away is a hell of a plan and a huge risky move without having to face other unplanned uncertainties: bureaucracy!

This is good news. From rumors I've heard when "A background check is needed: In progress" appears you are likely going to get an approval soon for the PR...don't get too excited its just a rumor but they usually don't start the background check until they've approved everything from what I understand...good luck! You may hear something in the coming weeks! But I don't know if this differs from office to office, may be an Ottawa thing or it may not so we will find out soon!

I hate this wait n emotional roller coaster >:( but i am happy that thy at least opened our application ;D as we didn't get any confirmation from Lvo that they had received our application, a minor change in status brought huge relief ;)
