Oh, that's mean not all get medical status online after getting AOR1. Hope they will work hard this week to send SA to all of us waiting :'(

Thanks

Just an update:

the Canadian embassy in Colombia requested a background check for my spouse 2 weeks ago, we got that done in a day or 2.

last week they requested her passport, and then the next day they requested new photos as the ones we sent had watermarks on the back of them.

They now have everything they need to grant PR. Just waiting for the FEDEX prepaid air return package to be sent back.

Sent our application august 10th, 2016

awesome, congrats

Just an update, not sure if this means anything significant - my ECAS now shows that they started processing my application on September 30th. Assuming this just means it was received by Ottawa, still good to see regular updates!

what does it says on e-cas when you log in ? Application received ? or In process on applicant side ?

Hi nvtsk! We actually tried this in August because it's our son's birhday as well. So when I made the invitation letter, I've put in there that it's our son's birthday and i'm expecting to give birth 1st week of January... They denied it though. Their reason is because of the family ties he has here in Canada they don't believe he'll come back at the end of his visitor stay. Anyway, we're going to try again this December to apply for a visitor visa in case the spousal sponsorship hasn't progressed that much yet that time.
