Wow.. that was faster than Expected...
Today (September 1st ~ Beijing Time) we received our AOR 2.
Interestingly the application was sent to Hong Kong despite us being on the mainland, which is no biggie since the processing time there seems to be even more speedy...
But my worry is.. if they request (hopefully not) an interview, then will it have to be in Hong Kong as well?
Mainlanders need a special passport to enter Hong Kong, and that alone takes time... and money.

Good luck to the rest of you... things are speedy when you are patient.... as hard as that may be.

Darwin

Wow congrats!! Mine also received on August 03, hope I will get my SA soon

Hi lirabells

After linking the application through GC account.
Do i get notifications through email account or GC account?

From what I understand is you get an email notification that you have a new message or change in your account. So you shouldn't miss anything...
For those having troubles linking their applications:
I was able to link my application only 3 or 4 days after they received the application. Also, I made sure to enter all information for the principle applicant only. Make sure for given name that you use all first and middle names (everything except for the family name). For the number of people I put 1. We have two children but they are not applicants because they are Canadian.

Received Sponsorship Approval today (September 1st), after receiving AOR1 on the 26th. Our application is being sent to Hong Kong. We were hoping it would be sent to Ottawa since my wife and I are currently in Canada. Like Grizzlyman, I am wondering if that means we would have to go to Hong Kong for an interview is one is required? It would be difficult for my wife to get the special passport to enter Hong Kong as her household registration is currently frozen when she left to study in Canada. Hopefully, there would be an alternative to have an interview in Beijing or somewhere in Canada? Of course, the real hope would be no interview!

Congratulations. When was your application received at CPC ?

Thanks! It was received August 4th.

Hello everyone!

Got my Sponsorship approval today!!!!! Much quicker than I expected!! Application received Aug 4, AOR Aug 26, SA Sep 1. The whole process took less than 30 days. I'm living outside Canada and I was worried I'd have problems proving I'd go to Canada after PR approval. Thank god that part is over! They forwarded the application to the Paris visa office, which takes applications for my country. Unfortunately, the processing time there is a gargantuan 15 months.

In any case, very happy! Good luck to everyone.

Im a July applicant and I got my SA fairly fast ..i was quite surprised as well ...almost all of the July apps have gotten SA approval quicker than expected.. Hope this is a good sign of what's to.come with the liberal changes!! Good.kuck august applicants !! ;D

hello all ! just now received AOR1 .

I send out my application by UPS on Aug 5, 2016.
Signed off by David (mailroom) on Aug 10, 2016
Received my AOR1 on September 2nd, 2016 (7.45am)

I still couldn't access the CIC site to check my application status process.

Rcvd AOR1 on Aug 31, still cannot link to CIC account. I searched for it using application & UCI - still not found. I was able to find it on ECAS though. Is this common?? ::)

Thank you to all those who respond.

I found it by searching my husband's family name, his information and putting 1 for the number of the applicants. However, on a different thread somebody left a tip as "In place of birth, click on the space button and let it blank". See if any of these will work for you. Good luck.

Guys a small question. I might have made a mistake.. Is the supplementary travel form mandatory for Delhi applications??? Even though there is no travel history??? I forgot to add that since it was not part of the original check list but is part of country specific list.. Can I send it now?? Considering I have AoR 1.. Waiting for file transfer.. Please advise.

“The single-most important commitment we made in the election campaign was to substantially reduce the processing time for the families,” the minister said. “We’re working right now to reduce the inventory of people waiting. We will be announcing a new system in the fall which will substantially reduce the processing time for family unification.” -Refugees and Citizenship Minister John McCallum.

If it's part of the country/region specific instructions, it needs to be sent. IMO, wait until you have file transfer, then send it via CSE email.
