I was able to link my application yesterday, all the sudden this morning when I check my status, it said Application status is currently unavailable. Please try again later.

Anyone else has the same problem?

Dumb question - how can you tell who received your application? I Xpress posted via Canada Post. Status according to tracking number is received but I cannot tell by who.

Did you ask for a signature? I sent it by UPS and on my tracking sheet says received by David. I am assuming because he had to sign it that's why he gave his name...

Same here, I was thinking my husband could send it this week, but his not done yet writing his personal letter. :(
I told him to send it via FedEx , so he should indicate to ask for signature, ?coz if not prob they will just drop off our package.

Cheers!

I don't remember anything about a signature. But tracking confirmed receipt. Sooooo....here's hoping.

Hi Everyone,

I am an indian lady in common law for more then 5 years living in Nepal with my love. Working on my file from last 2 months Now we are ready to send it soon I hope I can send it this week. I dont think so I will be August applicant but very happy to join the forum.

Will keep you update :D

These are the steps I pulled from MyCIC about my application. It has just been opened and an application number has been assigned.

Which step is the AOR1, the AOR2 and SA?

Where is this application?

Application/profile status
Review of eligibility
Review of medical results
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview
A background check is needed
Final decision

Also, if an application number has been assigned does that mean they are working on it or it's just been registered in the system and is sitting in the pile of applications?

I just checked CIC and for all you Philippines applicants, the assessment of sponsor has been reduced to 36 days :)

CanadaPost delivers the package to a PO Box so there is no one to sign for it (that's not a bad thing necessarily). If you send it via UPS/FedEx it goes directly to the office so that has to be signed for. Not a big deal either way as no one usually looks at it for a few days at least.
