Could someone explain how to do this?

You'll have to create an account here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp

Then from the drop down menu choose permanent residence then family sponsorship. You'll have to enter your personal information. I chose to enter the date of birth, passport number etc. because that's all the information I had.

Hope that helps!

Do you enter information for the sponsor or PA?

It did take a few days before I was able to link my application. I kept getting the same message.

Also, my sponsored spouse has a child (non-accompanying family member) so I entered 2 in the last question regarding number of family members but since his child will not be coming to Canada, I had to type in 1.

App was received Aug 10/16 - still cannot link. Not sure about anyone else. :'(

Today Morning, my Application Package was received in CIC Mississauga (R Mahmood) through Canada Post. ;D

I tried to link today too through MyCIC and the system can not find anything. After you try five times it locks you out for 24 hours >:(

What I am not sure of is if it checks by maiden name or married name and my wife used her maiden name as her middle name on her passport. A little confusing.

I guess I'll wait for the AOR.

I am in the same boat as you, is marital status "common-law" as that is what we are or "divorced" as we are both that too. I'll just wait it out. Doesn't help that I am the most impatient person ever. ;)

I submitted my application today, hoping to be received by tomorrow. It seems CIC updated the processing time. The SA approval now takes 47 day. Good news for us.. I hope to get the AOR.. I'm dreading to see my application in my mail.. And many thanks for all the help and inputs people are giving on this thread... Good luck everyone..
