Didn't realize my common-law already had a UCI number from when we applied for his Visitor Visa extension. Seeing now that he does have a UCI. Application already at Mississauga. Will this cause problems??

Good Luck! It has been kind of a challenge to find American/Canadian couples on this forum, so it is a delight to have come across your post. We chose New York as my fiance is from RI and it seems closer, but from what I have heard NY is no longer doing interviews. Keep me posted on your application progress as we sent ours Aug 9! I found this thread from 2015 about the process.

It looks like you get your Application Number and your UCI number when you receive the AOR1. Which I have been reading on these posts can take about 21 to 25 days.

If you put your email address on the application form you will receive an email otherwise a letter.

Generally, the AOR confirmation means that your package was opened up and all required forms have been included, all required signatures are in place and the latest/current version of all forms were submitted. This usually means that the application will not be returned as incomplete...but now always.

Silly question. When I try to link my application...do I (the sponsor) enter my spouse's information (i.e. his passport number, date of birth, number of people in application etc.)? He's the principal applicant/sponsored spouse.

Or would he create an account with MyCIC/GCKey and enter his own information.

Hi,

I'm canadian by birth 39 years old and I lived 32 years in Ecuador, now I'm here in Canada but My wife (ecuadorian) stay with my children(canadians by descent) I have all the forms filled and signed ready to send, I'm 16 years Married.

I need bring my wife as soon as posible.... Its another way how to acelerate the process?
