AUGUST 2016 - CITIZENSHIP APPLICATIONS

For anyone checking eCAS for updates, I just wanted to let you know our experience. We had a test invite, test taken and never saw a single update on eCAS until a week AFTER the test where it now says "Decision Made". We also never received any emails after the initial "we are processing your application" email. So things can be moving and you don't know it, and they do everything by post.

Anyone know if the oath date also gets sent by post?

Yes the oath invite also gets sent out by mail as you will have to take the letter to your oath ceremony. Congrats to passing the test and DM :).

I don't seem to see much movement in Toronto. My has been in process since 24th of August and I am praying I get this sorted by December as I have to travel then!

Thanks. I'm from Winnipeg. Some locations take more time, depends on volume of applications they receive. You will get it before Dec don't worry.

Congratulations Patriciasgm. They asked originals docs, but according to many posts in this forum, is better to bring in addition Photocopies of the passport(s) with all pages that contain stamps. Thanks.

Just dropping by to keep the thread active. =)

seems a slow down for everyone. Chances of getting an oath in 2016 are getting slimmer by the day.

I am still hopeful. I guess they will start scheduling us next week, expectations for invite this week are dwindling at this time. Best wishes everyone!

Hopefully we'll receive test request pretty soon. Mine is in process from September 15.

Hi. My test is this coming Oct 27. And I have questions re: documents
I sent my application Aug 3 and that time I was unemployed and I stated it in my application. And August 15 I found a job and started to work full time. My question is:

Do i need to ask an employment letter from my boss? Or I'll just tell them that Im employed without a letter.
