Just a quick question regarding the test invite. Does it show in ECAS as soon as they sent you the letter or it takes a few days before it appear?


I haven't receive my letter of invitation as of yet so I'm curious.

Thank you for your supportive words, it does help to know what I'm feeling isn't that odd! The Ecas shows my application started being processed by Sept 22, 2016, the IRCC website shows there is a ceremony and test scheduled on Oct 12, 2016 but I'm not sure if I'll be invited to sit for the test at this upcoming one, so I'm simply waiting anxiously and doing my best to prepare. Not sure if I should contact IRCC or just wait.

You are not alone in this waiting game. Mine went into processing a week before yours and haven't received test invite. Based on the timelines i see here, it takes 3-4 weeks "in process" before test invite. So i think we will miss the Oct 12 test date, probably we may be invited for some day in October. Also based on timelines, i have noticed people getting scheduled 3-4 weeks from test invite notice. So relax, you will have enough time to practice and ace it! Best wishes!

i received my test invite by mail yesterday my test is on October 25.. can't wait

Application Received: 08-Aug-2016
AOR Received: 26-Aug-2016
In Process: 01-Sep-2016
Request for Fingerprints: 06-Sep-2016
Fingerprints submitted: 08-Sep-2016
Test Invite: 28-Sep-2016
Test Date: 25-Oct-2016

The ecas status has date when invite letter is sent along side the exam date as well

Sometimes it takes eCas two days to update... mine said this on August 20: "we sent you a letter on August 18". It still took a few days after that to receive the actual letter....

i take 2 to 3 days i believe, my letter was issued on September 26 and Ecas was updated on September 29.

There are 4 dates for Oath in October. I am sure you will get the first one.

I have . But the last date in October is on the 14th... I highly doubt that I will get an invite as it is just 15 days away. I have a funky feeling my file is being overlooked as like I said that applicants that took the test 2 weeks after me in Edmonton already have their oath invite
