is there any August applicant here waiting for PPR?

I am still here, patiently waiting.

I received this email this morning:

"Your application has been finalized and your documents were returned to you by regular mail on 2016/04/27.

We thank you for your patience. In order to efficiently process requests, we will not reply to duplicate emails."

My documents have been returned to me? Oh man does that mean it has been rejected? :(

I have a question
I applied for Outland PR , NDVO on August 27 2015 and got PPR on 21 April 2016..
Since I am on visitors visa in Canada hence we sent the passport same day (21 April) to Ottawa but haven't yet heard back
Sent a self addressed xpresspost envelope along with the documents but the tracking for return envelope is not yet active..I wanna know how much time would it take to get my passport back
Since my visitor visa expires on 5 June 2015 so ideally I shud b applying for extension before a month, now I am confused wht shud I b doing as I don't want to stay here illegally but I have no news as to when I wil b getting my passport back
I need advice whether I shud b applying for extension to be on the safer side or shud I wait for my passport hoping it will get back before my visitor status expires??

From my understanding they suggest that you should apply for you extension 30 days before your visitors visa expires. With that said you could apply for you extension 2 days before it expires online and be an implied status, continue to be a visitor while your extension is being processed. I am not recommending it but that is one way to play with the cards you are dealt with.

Nevermind. Maybe I am worried about nothing. I read somewhere else in the forums that it may be the COPR paperwork and not my application documents as they do not send any of that back. I hope I get it at our new house and not the old one.

Hi Shwemir,

I don't think you should apply for an extension as they requested your passport. But what you can do is to call them to tell you what is going on and they will advice you what to do. I believe you will get back your passport and COPR before the expiration of your visitor's visa.

Best of luck :)

For sure doesn't hurt to ask! I landed on a Sunday and Monday morning I applied for my SIN and OHIP. You can start working ASAP once you have the SIN number....I'm still looking for a job.

Yeah I am hoping for a quick move on that too. Though I just found out some bad news. Since my car is still being financed and the title will not be in my name, a copy of the title will not allow me to export my vehicle. Bleh.

The finance company didnt have any issues with it. They were going to give me a letter of permission and copy of title of the vehicle so that I could transport it into Canada permanently.
