Good day every one! I have been reading this thread for quite a while now and I am a newbie here. I would just like to ask for some guidance regarding my niece's spousal visa. We are here in the Philippines. Her husband is in Canada and a Canadian citizen. Her husband sent their application package on August 6 and according to him it was received by CIC on August 10. However, until now my niece has not heard any development with regard to her husband's application. Following this thread, I assumed that my niece's husband should have received an AOR then an SA? Please enlighten me with the process so I can inform my niece. Thank you. :)

Hello. Your niece's husband should already have both AOR and SA by now. It takes 60-63 days to process. CIC is now working on applications received on August 17th. If he hasn't received it yet, he should contact CIC ASAP..

Hello, Jbodden! Thank you for your reply. I do not want to be negative but in case of denial of sponsorship, only the husband will be notified by CIC and not my niece?

My fiancé just received a request from the Paris visa office to pay the RPRF! I'm hoping this means that no interview will be required.

Is it bad when I check my ECAS I want it to say Decision Made already?

If I went across the border to the US for any kind of reason would that void our application?

Is it true I can work online for an office in the US, as long as I do not take any jobs from Canadians?

Tired and need coffee

Hello your welcome. Only her husband will be notified by email.. He should check his spam or junk mail because not all of the emails CIC sends drops in inbox.. If he doesn't find an email he should give them a call..

Hahaha no I'm the same :)

As an outland applicant no it wouldn't cancel your application, even if you are denied re-entry the application will keep processing.

You can work remotely as long as the company is based in the USA and you don't deal with Canadian clients.

Yeah I figured I wasn't the only one, but sometimes it is good to hear it.

That is good to hear about the application process. I was wondering because you never know when an emergency may come around.

Good to know. Being involved in the game industry it is hard to know when you are crossing the line.

Thanks for the quick reply Kangamoose.

Just called CIC and the gentleman said that my Sponsorship had been approved and that the files are on their way to the visa office in Ankara. :)
He said they had yet to send the email, but it should arrive before the end of the month.

Congrats!!
Apparently I'm the only one that has that timeline who hasn't received SA yet, we called again yesterday and was told it can take up to 3 months for CPC Mississauga to respond to our email request. I just can't figure out why our app isn't SA approved yet and sent to Ottawa.

So true, I had assumed any online work was ok until someone on here pointed me to the rules for business visitors.

Thanks carr1, JBodden & Kangamoose!

Try calling them again and ask if they can check the status over the phone. (basically what I did). I was put on hold for 2 mins and he was able to pull my results.

Yes, we've called 3 times now and they say there is no update and apparently Mississauga has 3 months to respond to our request on why we are over the processing time and no update. Today Mississauga sent us an inquiry form to fill out which we have now sent in but again they have 3 months to respond. I keep going over in my head what could be the issue and I'm making myself crazy!!
