AUGUST 2015 - OUTLAND Applications

Yay :) Now the wait begins, which may be the hardest part haha
 
Hello Again. We should be out of the Ottawa VO as we are applying outland for my wife who is a US citizen.

We used expresspost and ours was signed by `H A` ... wondering if anyone else has had that person sign for their package...

I haven't seen that name before, but ours was also signed by initials so who knows ('S S'). Good thing we at least have a signature! :)

How is everyone doing? The end of the month is coming up so I guess some AORs might be coming through shortly? How else is everyone spending their waiting time? Like me checking these forums to feel productive in some way? :P
 
I'm a little anxious waiting for AOR, we sent the online printout of the option C from my spouses mycic account. Other people have used this in the past but who knows if it will work for us, I'm hoping if they don't accept it they will just email him to send a copy in rather than send everything back.. Its pretty obvious he wasn't on welfare, he was only in Canada for about a month last year..

I too have been checking the forums to feel productive haha

I didn't know the online version was an option, i guess as long as the info is there it shouldn't matter (or at least they'll just request clarification). Crossing fingers for you!! Have you ordered the original one just in case? I think it takes like 3 weeks to come in.

Yeah I was thinking about getting him to order it just in case, the online version has the same info on it, it just looks different.

Its not the hugest deal if it gets sent back to us, (I have a work visa until Jan 2017) but I still would prefer it didn't!

It's super easy - he just needs to call the CRA and follow the automatic prompts to order it. No need to even be on hold, or speak to an agent. As long as he has his last tax return as they ask for some verifying info.

So great you have a work permit until 2017 - is it a post grad one?

Yes hoping it does go smoothly :)

I think I'll get him to order the original from CRA just in case at least then we'll have it if needed..

I have an IEC visa, my last one as they changed the rules for Aus this year.

Looks like there are quite a few from LVO, you'll have company :)
 
Sent my application via UPS on August 11, arrived and signed by 'Hungal' on August 12th. Visa office should be Ottawa as I am a U.S. Citizen.
Fingers crossed this all moves quickly and smoothly for us all!
 
Sent our application via Fedex August 18th, delivered August 20th. Visa office will be Ottawa, I am hoping we get lucky and stuck in Mississauga and processed through nice and quickly. We can dream right? :D
 
Welcome Ellie and Carr1! Keep us posted on your timelines, even if im not from your VO (at least I don't think so) will be cheering for speedy process :D
