Please does one spouse need to take and pass the Test of English Exam (e.g. IELTS) before being qualified to be granted Permanent Residency?. There is a space for that on one of the forms. Province has already nominated one of the spouse and has passed and submitted the test results as part of the initial application for nomiation. should the other spouse also take the test and pass now? please advice.

also, This is regarding filing forms for permanent residency after being nominated. please on the form IMM 5406 for additional family information, to be completed by both Principal applicant and spouse separately, how do i fill in the section A? should both spouse write their names in both forms on section A and the names of their parents too separately. Its a bit confusing. I have read the guide, but its not clearly spelt out. thanks

Your payment is all electronic and computerized. Once you pay, it is automatically linked to your account and gives it the all clear to process usually within 1 business day. 2 at most.

Your documents however need to be reviewed by humans to make sure they comply with the requirements and usually take longer. I would give them at least 10 business days before panicking. Once that times has passed, call them and verify they got the documents.

Obligatory: You should have known better than to wait till the deadline to sort your documents out.

That being said, whenever I have had to deal with official government departments, it takes a week or two for their systems/processes to catch up. As long as your document was submitted before the deadline, you have nothing to worry about. Submission date is all that matters regardless of them checking your file this week or 6 weeks from now. As long as you faxed/emailed your stuff before the cutoff, you have nothing to worry about.

Good luck! :)

I called up the CIC agent today and wanted to know if my PCC has been attached with the application. Instead got generic reply that your application is within time limit and that if you sent your document through registered post you would have got confirmation.

i m in canada as a close work permit

so my wife from back home apply 2 times open work permit and she was refused both time

can it would be bad effect on our PR application

GCMS note :
it says PA applicant got married 2011 he also live other country before came to canada

it appears PA and spouse have never lived in the same country in the course of their marriage
they have elected to live separately since they married in 2011, I fail to see the any H&C measures to reunite them now
