August 2014 PNP applicants that have submitted their applications for PR

CIC took the money out from my Credit Card yesterday. I am August 8 applicant. How long does it take to get AOR after money is take out by CIC.

I just happened to check the thread for March/April applicants - most of them haven't yet received requests for their passports. I was hoping it won't take as long as this, but going by this, it seems we guys would not hear something until late next month perhaps . What are your views?

i believe it takes about a year or even longer to get PPR. Sucks

CIO Received PR application: 18/08/2014.
Sent CIO an inquiry email on 20/11/2014.
Got this generic reply on 22/01/2015:
Good Afternoon:

Email has been forwarded to the appropriate person for action/review.

Thank you,

Then I got this email from CPC-Ottawa on 23/01/2015:
Dear Sir / Madam

This is to confirm that we have received your application. Please note you will be notified once a file number has been assigned to your application.

We do not require any information from you at the present time. We will contact you if further information is required.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.

Bottomline is...after more than FIVE months...still not even an AoR!! Bloody As*holes!

Application Received: Aug 11th. And nothing after that (5 months, 2 weeks, 5 days). Not even an AOR. Their emails always contain the generic reply for everyone.

Ameet, I received the same pattern of two emails as you from CIC.
I am an OPNP applicant and applied on Aug. 25/2014, and still awaiting AOR.

After receiving the second email on Jan. 13/2015, I thought that now i would get FN, but it seems like they just wanted to reply back and not take any action. However, hopefully things started moving slowly.

I applied Sep 2014 got AOR last December 2014 and medical request and RPRF this January.

we paid RPRF online last Jan 21, 2015 and We had our medical yrsterday but i was adivised to retake urinalysis.

ECAS now shows "In Process".

I am on Ontario PNP. CIC received my application package in August and I have received file number and medical examination request.

Congrats for file number. AOR is Acknowledgement of Receipt, which is same as File Number.
Did u get QA call?

I am not sure timeline is normal for Aug ON PNP applicant. I got QA call in November and have found other Aug OPNP also in similar boat. You are lucky to bypass QA. I am in worry, as its been more than two weeks they took money out from my Credit Card and no AOR yet.
