In process since Nov 7th that's it , last time I called cic they told me background check completed but still not transferred to the local office

Thanks for the update...When did you call CIC? And whats your local office?

I call them on Feb 15th , my local office is Kitchener

I believe email is taken more seriously since it will be documented.

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 12, 2013.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 29, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on October 29, 2013.

We sent you a notice on January 29, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 24, 2014 at 04:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Completed the test scored 20/20 in the test.
the interview was simple just verification of the below documents
Original Passport
PR Card
Health card / Driving licence
Landing papers
Just confirmed if I am working at the same place and my office number.
Was told to Waite for some time for the oath ceremony letter
Received the letter for the Oath ceremony for Wife Son and myself for 3rd March.

Landed as a PR in Canada in April 2010 under FSW Financial Manager
Total processing time was 6 months.
I was out of the country for 40 days in total (25+15) and in the country for 1138 days.
Management professional in one of the top five banks in Canada.

I was expecting a long Waite since the processing time says 25 months on the website.

But guess they are speeding up to clear the backlog.

Yes you are right. It takes longer when the applications are processed together for the complete family as opposed to single applications.

At least this is what it looks like from reading the past discussions on this forum. I may be totally wrong.

Hi, may i ask a question. Is there a place like Trackitt which track all timelines. I found it hard to go over all posts in order to see how long it actually take for applicants to receive their citizenships. Thanks

Does the citizenship application require work history now? What if I changed jobs after PR or went back to school?
